FARM ROVING - Alpaca / Merino / Silk - Roving from Champion SEBASTIAN - FAWN

This roving is made from “Champion Sebastian", who is not only a champion with lots of babies, he is also a PR animals and always poses for pics with the farm visitors. You can see from the pics, he likes to be "involved" :) 

This is roving and is beautifully prepared and super soft.  It is pin drafted and a pleasure to spin.  This year I made it with golden tussah to enhance Sebastian's natural color and sheen.

The stats:

• 2 or 4 oz in a braid
• roving - pin drafted
• 70% alpaca | 20% Merino | 10% golden tussah
• Grade 3  micron approx 23-26 microns
• next to skin OH SO soft 
• little bit of VM, any VM should fall out when spinning
• no neps or noils (very smooth)
• mill processed 
• staple length - approx 3- 3.5 inches
• Fawn in color with lighter streaks from the silk

The roving is light and airy and drafts beautifully. It almost spins itself. It also felts incredibly well. It is pin drafted roving so it drafts more like top than regular roving.
