Summer Daze is a limited edition colorway to celebrate the TdF (Tour de Fleece) 2018! Once it is gone . . . it's history!
I did this colorway on Rambouillet Wool Top because it is called "French Merino" and the Tour de France is .... well ... in France :)
If the RTS (ready to ship) inventory is zero (sold-out), please choose MTO (made to order) and I will get that shipped out to you by July 2nd (most likely sooner), which should get to you by the opening of the tour (Saturday July 7) if you are in the US. MTO will close when either it is sold out or by June 30th.
A little more about his wool :
This very old breed of sheep originated in the village of Rambouillet, France in 1786. Also known as French Merino, it has a micron count of 20-23 and a staple length of 3.75”, which it makes it easier to spin than traditional merino, which is about an inch shorter. Very nice crimp and smooshy. Great for spinning or felting.
This is top not roving. Top goes through an extra step to carefully align all the fibers in the same direction. Top is considered the highest quality spinning prep.
