Starry Night™ - 1 batt - 2 oz
2 available at time of listing
This spinning batt is very similar in colors to my Alpaca Starry Night™ batts. This batt is squishy and should make a lofty yarn. It is mostly smooth although a cottwold lock here are there could add some texture.
Romney is a medium wool and not usually used for next to skin items like scarves. I think this would be perfectly suited for socks, gloves or a hat.
The romney in this batt is locally grown and was processed entirely by me. Staple length of about 3 inches.
- Grey, Purple, turquoise, blue, white and gold
Approx Fiber % -
- Romney wool - 80%
- Cottswold wool locks - 10%
- Firestar (nylon)- 10%
I weigh my fiber before going into the drum carder or blending hackle to get the approx percentages.
If you don't know how to spin - but love the batt - convo me for pricing on spinning this batt. If you want more than I have listed, convo me for more!
The pictures are of the exact batts you will receive. I try to portray accurate color representation of my products but each computer/monitor is different.
While every effort is made to remove all the VM from my the fiber, since I process it by hand, there is a chance that a stray piece may have been missed, but should fall out while spinning. A noil/nep here or there is possible as well.
