Watercolors™ - 1 batt - 2 oz
For spinning or felting
This beautiful spinning batt reminds me of Monet's Water Lilies painting. It is Coopworth dyed a beautiful shade of lilac/purple and thoroughly blended with Soffsilk® and a hint of sparkle. Super lofty, smooth batt.
The Coopworth in this batt was donated by a ewe named "Henrietta" who was jacketed and lives on my friends farm right here in NJ. Coopworth is a wool with super brightness and lovely hand. This fiber has about a 5 inch staple length.
- Lilac/Purple base with multi-colored Soffsilk® and sparkle
** I took both inside and outside pics as well as a pic on a blue background. It is very difficult to capture lilac/purple on film. The yarn sample (not included) and the batt with the blue background are closest to true life. The other pics are taken with inside and outside (full sun) lighting ** If you are a lilac/purple person, like me, you will love the base color.
Next to skin soft and a dream to spin!!!
Approx Fiber % -
- Coopworth wool - 80%
- Soffilk® - 15%
- Firestar (nylon)- 5%
I processed this fleece myself including being there on shearing day to help skirt. There is a tiny bit of lanolin left in the wool as I don't like to overwash my wools which can sometimes happen with home processing.
I weigh my fiber before going into the drum carder or blending hackle to get the approx percentages.
If you don't know how to spin - but love the batt - convo me for pricing on spinning this batt. If you want more than I have listed, convo me for more!
The pictures are representative of the batts you will receive. I try to portray accurate color representation of my products but each computer/monitor is different.
While every effort is made to remove all the VM from my the fiber, since I process it by hand, there is a chance that a stray piece may have been missed, but should fall out while spinning. A noil/nep here or there is possible as well.
