Originally a PHAT FIBER contribution for January 2014 - Winter Wonderland - this stayed a favorite repeatable colorway.
This listing is for 1 Batt - 2.0 oz
For spinning or felting
This batt is super lofty and squishy and super super soft. This is a smooth batt. The alpaca in the batt is from my own herd, Alma Park Alpacas™. This is what I would call a mish-mash batt as the fibers are thoroughly blended together and are not layered. This has been run through my drum carder several times.
This batt has a white base of baby alpaca/merino and includes blues, turquoises and tons of sparkle. Much more sparkle than I normally put into a batt.
Inspiration for the original colorway was not from Disney's Frozen Movie, but it sure does look that way :)
Approx Fiber % -
- 30% Baby Alpaca (20-23 micron)
- 25% Very fine Merino (19-21 micron)
- 10% Bamboo
- 10% faux angora/cashmere (nylon)
- 8% Starbright sparkle (nylon)
- 15% Firestar
- 2% Angelina
I weigh my fiber before going into the drum carder to get the approx percentages.
If you don't know how to spin - but love the batt - convo me for pricing on spinning this batt. If you want more than I have listed, convo me for more!
The pictures are representative of the batts you will receive. I try to portray accurate color representation of my products but each computer/monitor is different.
While every effort is made to remove all the VM from my alpaca fiber, since I process it by hand, there is a chance that a stray piece may have been missed, but should fall out while spinning. A noil/nep here or there is possible as well.
Colorway also available in yarn and dyed top.
